Look how much I topped off!!!
So I noticed that the range indicator sometimes says 375 and up until recently, my record was 397 when I filled the tank all the way up. But two days ago, I topped off at a Shell station and I hit 400!!! Has anyone else hit 400!?

Mine read 398 miles one time when I was on a long road trip. I have the v8 and mine usually averages in the 370's.
May just be me, but do you notice the Shell gas giving you better mileage?

I'm now consistently ~440 without topping off. I think the mileage sucks, but you guys are making me feel a little better.

Mine is consistently in the 320 range. I might have seen it start around 340 once but never higher.

Usually around 390-400 something or other. I've been getting fairly good gas mileage the last few weeks.

That's great, especially with gas at $2+ per gallon.

I don't have it turned on......I don't want to keep reminding myself how bad the mileage is.

I have noticed about 2mpg increase as the engine has steadily been breaking in. since 5kmi, it has been getting better faster. Can't explain. Now at 7800mi.
1100mi... that is a nice shiny new 4R!

Dude, how accurate are those range meters anyway?
When I first got my rig, 397 was the most I've got, but since then it has dropped, never ever gets back up to 397, 360 at the most. Although, when I got repairs done, the battery was unplugged and it went back up to 397, but hasn't gone that high since.
422? Damn, anyone know why that is?

The mileage estimate is computed by multiplying the estimated average miles per gallon times the amount of fuel in the tank. If you overfill the tank or have recently had good gas mileage, you'll get a higher estimate of range.
FWIW, I have noticed a big change depending on my driving habits and where I've driven to. For a short while last month it was a lot of local driving, stop/starts and redlights, and the fuel estimate was in the 340's on a full tank. The rest of the time I drive a long 60 mile round trip on the interstate 6 days a week. It's pretty flat around here, and if I keep my speed to <70 mph with the cruise control on, I see my MPG estimate get in the 19's.
If you've been having bad gas mileage recently, try resetting it and see what happens. You may have some bad estimates from a while back ruining your estimate. I reset mine with every other fillup.
