Haha, I was in your shoes for the whole past year!
I got the P rated. I rarely ever off road, so I didn't really feel like it would be necessary to get anything else.

*Tire Update*
So, I drove on the highway for the first time with these new tires and was pretty disappointed. My steering wheel started shaking terribly during the MPH range of 62 - 68mph. The tire place I bought them from adn had them installed, Tire Discounters, did a vehicle allignment and balanced the tires. Does anyone have any clue why my steering wheel would be shaking so much? It never did that at all when I had my stock Bridgestone's on.
(Obviously there isn't a problem with the tires themselves, I guess they were just installed improperly).

Looking forward to the pics. My stock Bridgestones had all black walls on the outside so I figured it would be a nice change of pace to have the white letters on the outside.

It would have to be a balance problem. Thats all I can think of , unless they didn't tighten something up or screwed up the alignment .

Thank you Falls. I'm taking it back in tomorrow to have them check it out.

Falls is right. See: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...=&threadid=173
The only other possibility is that your Goodyears are "out of round" or you have a bent rim. But, i doubt it.
Most Toyota dealerships have the machine and adaptor described in the link. So, if Discount Tire cannot solve it, then take it to your dealer and eat up in the price to re-balance it. I would call your Toyota dealer ahead of time and ask them if they have the necessary equipments.

Thank you so much for the info Thai. I am taking it to Tire Discounters tomorrow to have them re-balance them. If that doesn't fix the problem, I guess I will just take it to my local stealership. I hope they don't charge too much to balance the tires (bet they do, though!)

Ok, now I'm completely confused. I called my local Toyota stealership and they said that the tires MUST be balanced using the Road Force Balancer. I said, ok, fine. So, I called Tire Discounters (where I got my tires installed) and they said that that's absolutely incorrect. They told me to bring it by and they will rebalance them. Can anyone help me out here!!??!!

I hope that help's.
I disagree about road force balancer. I've never did that and never had an issue.

Thanks Falls. I am taking the truck back tomorrow. Hopefully they can get it right this time. If they can't, I guess my next move is taking it to the dealership.

I got my tires re-balanced last night. I went out and tested them on the highway and no steering wheel shaking anymore!!! I wonder why they didn't balance them properly the first time?
