thanks, momo! I think I like the way the Manik one looks more than the WAAG ... Over here in SF, most people are into "rice rockets", not many can help me out with SUVs ...

Without a doubt. Since my office is in my house, pretty much any time I leave the house it is for business. As a matter of fact i just got back from taking some of my clients skeet shooting......write-off.:D
 
i dont know if i'm ready to go POOR for my runner ... but i probably will considering what i've done in the past!

i've actually been concentrating more on my dvd system than anything else ... but I think a brush guard is on the top of my list for exterior work ...

Actually I said no on those.

I just got majorly screwed yesterday. At the beginning of December we finally bought a bed (after looking for 3 years). When we bought it we asked to make sure the bedroom suit was new and was going to be around for a little while so we could get all the pieces at different times and they said no problem.........I just happen to go in the store last night and the furniture was on sale, so I asked how long it would be marked down. The lady told me it was just marked down on the floor models because they weren't carrying the line any more...........PHUCKERS!!!!Because we wanted all the pieces and we could only buy what they had on the floor, or not get it at all, we had to buy 2 side tables and the dresser all last night.......needless to say, I won't be getting my Brush guard any time soon......I was so pissed.
 
I hate that. Ain't nothing right no more in retail stores. I'd say you had a legal verbal contract with the store and they breached it......like that's gonna fly!!! Inkjet printers are my problem. Buy one now, a month later a new one comes out and you can't get the cartridges for the one you got...

After we left the store I was thinking how pissed we would have been if we had gone in a couple of weeks later and none of it was available. That would have been very bad.

Computer stuff is such a scam. It was that any computer stuff had a shelf life of 6 months, but now it is within weeks. I just got new laptop about a month ago, and I am sure they have already outdated it. We just have to roll with it.
 
I have been looking a brush guards and
bars also. It looks like to me most of them
don't protect the important parts.

The area under the bumper to the skid
looks very vunerable. Since the T4R has
a aluminum radiator rocks can damage it
very easily. Aluminum radiators are difficult
to repair. This area can't be covered with
a solid piece because it is a major air flow
area for the cooling system, it looks to me
like a good strong piece of expanded metal is in order.
It has to be strong enough to take the gash of large rocks.

The lower part of the bumper especially
the painted cross piece need protection,
along with the turn lights. Also it needs
a place to mount driving lights.

The guards I have looked at had very flimsy
mounting brackets, one slight nudge and they would collapse.

The T4R does have some strong square
tube under the bumper so brackets should be no
problem(my old JGC had tin and plastic).

If I wasn't so old I would build one myself.
